Ultimate bike light

Sunday, September 21st, 2008

As the days get shorter, I find myself riding in the dark more and more.

Wanting to improve my visibility, I tracked down the components listed in the Daylight Visible Bike Light instructable. However, I gave the project a twist by embedding the light (plus circuit + batteries) in my helmet. The thing is really slick.

I also made a super bright headlamp. I will post about that later.

Hey Gabe! Cool, practical and inspiring.
Call me as I have a shell for a light you might be interested in modding.

    @ Phillip,
I just ordered some LED’s that will blow these ones away. The red one above is about 180lm max – these new suckers max out at 900lm! That’s pushing car headlight brightness. Cheers.
