#WRK3 Workshops Track

  • Nikki Massaro Kauffman – Interface Designer, Penn State World Campus
  • John “Buck” Buckwalter – Educational Technologist, Penn State World Campus powe

In our workshop, we will work with anyone (artsy people, web geeks, newbies, trained monkeys, untrained monkeys, your grandma, etc.) and give you some easy tips and tricks to creating infographics and animated video for your Web content. You don’t need experience to join in, but some of the following might come in handy if you want to dig in with us: – video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Camtasia, etc.) – photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop) – MS Office – opposable thumbs.  Our Personal Guarantee: If you are not fully satisfied with this session, we will alter the space-time continuum to give you your day back.

Notes:

Powerpoint

“Let’s start with Powerpoint – even though I  have a session latter explicitly telling people not to use Powerpoint” ;) To be honest, I didn’t even know that powerpoint has these shape options.

Simple shapes are often best for conveying information.

Now on to illustrator:

“The pathfinder tool is magic!”
