Graduating from PCC
If you are graduating in the current academic year (fall, winter, spring or summer term), you are eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony. If you want to participate in the ceremony, your graduation application must be received in the Graduation Office no later than 5pm, May 8th, 2008. Graduation information will be emailed through MyPCC email accounts to students who have submitted their application by the deadline and have not been denied. Additional information will also be available on this web page, please check back regularly for updates.
Steps to Graduation
One term before your final term at PCC you will need to begin the graduation process.
- 1) Fill out and submit the Application for Graduation.

Each application must be accompanied with a $10 application fee. Turn in the application at any campus business office or mail it to the Rock Creek Campus Business Office.

If applicable, the petition for Waiver or Course Substitution Form should be filled out and submitted with your Application for Graduation.
- 2) Order official transcripts from other schools

If the student has received credit from other institutions that they would like applied to their degree, it is the student’s responsibility to request the official transcripts from those institutions be sent to PCC Student Records:

- 3) Application will be evaluated

Once everything has been received your application will be evaluated. Four to six weeks after we receive your application, you will be notified in writing of the status of your application, including any deficiencies.
- 4) Degree Awarded

When all requirements have been met, your degree will be awarded. Your diploma will be mailed to your address of record at PCC. (Please allow a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks for receipt of your diploma.) If you need to change your address after submitting your application, be sure to fill out the appropriate address change form.

Students who want to participate in the commencement ceremony need to have their application turned in by this date.
Graduation Requirements
To earn an associate degree or a certificate, you must meet the requirements in the PCC Catalog that is current when you earned your first credit(s) at PCC, unless you choose to meet the requirements of a later catalog.
An edition of the catalog is valid for six academic years. For example, a catalog that takes effect fall term 2001 is only valid through summer term 2007. However, some programs may impose shorter time limits on accepting credits for degree or certificate requirements.
All degrees require basic competencies of math and English.
