Minority report came out in 2002, set in 2050. We are already seeing many of the interaction technology.
Take this lollipop – a very creepy public service app.
5 years ago, marketers had to beg, borrow and bribe to get even a small amount of personal information.
Guidelines:
– trust (often based on brand)
– value of experience
– Opt in, not just out.
– horses for courses ( think about device)
Email is a very challenging channel. You need to personalize to even get them to open.
Need unified location to store personalization data.
Retargeting – visit one site. Advertising follows you around to other sites. I see this all the time.
