AllGrain.Beer (WordPress Plugin)

In an attempt to make AllGrain.Beer as easy to use as possible, I’ve added a page that creates an oEmbed code for each recipe. However, for this work, you need to add the site as an oEmbed provider. So, I have built a plugin:

Step 1:

Step 2:

Once installed you can simply paste the URL into a WordPress post and – boom- the recipe appears!

For example:
http://allgrain.beer/recipes/914/
Becomes:

  • OG: 1.080, FG: 1.020, ABV: 8.44 %, IBU: 87.2 , SRM: 9.5
  • Batch Size: 5 gal
  • Brewhouse Efficiency: 70%
  • Wort Boil Time: 60 min

Grain

Hops

Yeast

Water

  • Profile for Burton-on-Trent: Ca 352 (ppm), Mg 24 (ppm), HCO3 320 (ppm), Cl 820 (ppm), Na 44 (ppm), SO4 16 (ppm)

    Hey,

I really like Allgrain.beer, and I’d like to incorporate it into my website. I am creating a site where users can post, edit, and track their own recipes and I think your program would be a great way to allow recipe entry. The only thing is that I need to make it so that logged in users can post their recipes, as opposed to simply displaying my own recipe. Is there any way we can work something out where I use your allgrain.beer code in my website? Let me know what you think. It’s a wordpress site.
