I swear that I’ll attend more then just WP sessions – however, this is by Vanderbilt – one of my favorite examples.

Started the project only 16months ago.

They use disqus for comments.

Content strategy
Multiple front doors for news stories.

Uses categories to say where posts should show up. This is true for the video pages as well.

Connect
Related stories (they have 7500+ stories). Pulled by tags using YetAnotherRelated – must be working better then when I tried it.

Automate
Twice a week they send all staff an email with recent stories page: myVUpreview. Template is set up with inline styles :( so that it can be copied and sent as HTML email. Google tracking on every link! Nice.

Feedburner email is another option.

Vanderbi.lt – shortening service. Uses open source program. YouURLs?
