Monday, March 12th, 2012

I have been brewing for a few years. Of course, if you read this blog, you probably already knew that. A large percentage of the posts revolve around brewing.

A few weeks back, I submitted two beers to the Slurp and Burp Open – the largest home brew competition in the pacific northwest. My hope was to get some good feedback from the judges. I was particularly excited about entering a CDA since this is one of the few competitions that has a dedicated category for  that style.

The results are in

To my surprise, both beers placed for their respected categories:

  • Category SB4. Cascadian Dark Ale – 1st place: Black Frost by Gabriel Nagmay
  • Category 9. Scottish and Irish Ale – 3rd place: Gebbeth Stong Scotch by Gabriel Nagmay

Download are the full results. I will be sure to post the judges comments when they arrive in a few weeks.
